97.7 HTZ FM
St. Catharines
About
97.7 HTZ-FM (CHTZ-FM) is a high-energy Canadian rock station based in St. Catharines, Ontario, serving the Niagara region.
Originally launched as CKTB-FM in 1949, it has built a long-standing reputation in the local radio landscape. Formerly owned by Bell, the station was acquired by Whiteoaks Communications (through Golden Horseshoe Broadcasting), with the ownership change taking effect on June 16, 2025. Despite the transition, it has kept its signature Active Rock format and familiar on-air personalities. The playlist delivers a bold mix of classic and modern rock, hard rock, and metal — a sound crafted for its core demographic aged 25–54.
HTZ-FM continues to fuel the region with raw rock energy and an unfiltered attitude.
